Our Doctor

​​​​​Dr. Tanisha Bomboir is the proud owner of Prairie Sk - eyes Optometry and welcomes patients of all ages. Dr. Bomboir was raised in Melville, Saskatchewan and graduated with distinction and a bilingual diploma in French from Melville Comprehensive School in 2015. She went on to achieve a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, where she was honored as the Most Outstanding Graduate and received the Spring Convocation Three-year Medal in 2018.

Dr. Bomboir earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with Dean’s Honours from the University of Waterloo in 2022. During her time there, she demonstrated excellent leadership skills, serving as the President of her class and receiving the Dr. Margaret Hansen des Groseilliers leadership Award. After graduation, Dr. Bomboir practiced at a clinic in Gander, Newfoundland, for two and a half years, gaining valuable experience in a rural setting. Her expertise includes primary care eye examinations, advanced dry eye care and treatments, glaucoma management, and speciality contact lens fitting. Dr. Bomboir is dedicated to truly listening to her patients' needs and providing personalized vision and treatment recommendations. She believes the eyes are the window to the rest of the body and works closely with each patient’s health care team to provide thorough care. Dr. Bomboir is passionate about community involvement and is thrilled to be back in her home province. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, and spending time with her friends and family, including her two beautiful children.

​​​​​Dr. Knezacek was born and grew up just outside of Esterhazy. He graduated from Esterhazy Central High and continued to the University of Saskatchewan. After 2 years of undergrad, Dr. Knezacek was accepted to the School of Optometry in Waterloo, Ontario. Dr. Knezacek received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1999.

Before founding Esterhazy Optometry clinic in 2002, Dr. Knezacek worked in several clinics in Saskatchewan (Yorkton, Melville, Regina, Moose Jaw, and Weyburn). He also provided low-vision services for the CNIB Low Vision Clinic during that time. Dr. Knezacek provided services in Russell, Manitoba from 2003 to 2007. He is currently a partner in Family Eye Care Center inRegina. Dr. Knezacek has travelled abroad on several occasions to donate his time performing eye exams since starting his professional career. He has also spent time donating eye exams to athletes at the Special Olympics in Regina. Dr. Knezacek is serving as past president for the Saskatchewan Association of Optometrists.
